Meet the Building Tomorrow Primary School of Mwiguru

The Pocket Square Project is a perfect pairing of fashion and philanthropy.

We believe that how you dress tells your story. And these pocket squares tell an even bigger story.

The Pocket Square Project helps children write a new ending to their story.

Since its beginning, the Pocket Square Project has contributed its proceeds to advancing the lives of children. Our founders, Dr. Rachel Vreeman and Mr. Dominique Price started this initiative because they were passionate about addressing and raising awareness about global health issues for children. For many years, the Pocket Square Project made substantial contributions to children’s HIV services of the AMPATH HIV care program in Kenya. Following in this shared vision, Drs. Daniel and Lorrie Vreeman are now leading the Pocket Square Project to fund health and education in challenging environments, move people to do good, and create brighter tomorrows.

In 2017, we raised money to build a primary school in Uganda by partnering with the Indiana-based non-profit Building Tomorrow. We called that effort Project Secret Weapon. In the summer of 2018, we traveled to Uganda for the commissioning of that school: the BT Primary School of Mwiguru. The school is located in the Masindi District, and we are so pleased that it is now serving about 300 students!

While there, we clearly saw with our own eyes that clean water remains a huge challenge for Uganda.

Water is essential for health and education.

Now, we’re teaming up with the Ugandan Water Project – a longtime partner of Building Tomorrow – to equip a Building Tomorrow primary school with two rainwater collection systems so students and teachers don’t have to make the long, daily walk for unclean water.

Will you join us in giving children in Uganda their most important school supplies: clean water?

We want you to be a part of The Pocket Square Project story that is helping transform the lives of children, a community, and the world. You can have style with a purpose.

Help provide school children in Uganda with clean water
